Arsenal will host Manchester United in a highly anticipated FA Cup third-round fixture next month, bringing together the competition's two most decorated clubs.
The Gunners, who last claimed the trophy in 2020, have a record 14 FA Cup titles, while United, the current holders, lifted their 13th last season. This blockbuster clash will take place at the Emirates Stadium over the weekend of January 11-12.
City to Meet Salford in Unique Matchup
Elsewhere, Manchester City, who won the FA Cup in 2023 and were runners-up in May, will welcome fourth-tier Salford City. The Ammies are famously owned by Manchester United’s legendary "Class of '92," including David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary and Phil Neville, and Nicky Butt.
Liverpool will also take on League Two opposition, hosting Accrington Stanley at Anfield, while Chelsea face Morecambe, currently bottom of the fourth tier.
Non-League Underdogs Eye Upsets
Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Tamworth, one of only two non-league clubs still in the competition. Meanwhile, fellow National League side Dagenham & Redbridge face a tough away test against Championship side Millwall.
Premier League and Championship Sides Enter
The third round sees the entry of all 44 Premier League and Championship clubs, joining 20 lower-league and non-league teams that progressed from the second round.
