Harry Wilson scored twice in stoppage time to secure a dramatic 2-1 win for Fulham over west London rivals Brentford on Monday.

Vitaly Janelt had fired Brentford ahead against the run of play midway through the first half with a powerful shot from distance.

Fulham looked set for frustration until added time, when substitute Wilson flicked in the equalizer and then headed home the winner in the final moments.

The win lifts Marco Silva’s team to ninth place, just three points shy of the top four, while Brentford, poised for a top-half finish, instead stays in 12th after the late turnaround.

Fulham started strong, but Reiss Nelson’s early chance was denied by Mark Flekken. Brentford, having rarely threatened, took the lead in the 24th minute when Janelt’s long-range strike flew past Bernd Leno.

Emile Smith Rowe missed a chance to respond immediately, and Fulham struggled to break through Brentford’s solid defense after halftime.

It wasn’t until Fulham’s 25th attempt that Wilson finally found the net, cleverly looping a shot over Flekken from an Adama Traore cross. Just moments later, Wilson scored again, with a lucky deflection off his shoulder sending the ball into the top corner.
